Hello Summer! I cannot believe it is June already. We are ready to get out, enjoy some fresh air and soak up some sunrays! We have a busy month ahead of us. We are going to have Bill Hopp from the Prairie Gardens Co-op come to present “Cowboy Church” which is a lineup of music videos and discussion and is open to all religions. Come check him out! We will be taking some scenic bus rides around the area. When out & about we’ll hide our painted rocks for others to find. Check out the “319 Rocks” on Facebook for more information. I’m looking forward to making our groovy community wall art and string art together. Do you remember penny candy? We will reminisce about going to the candy store, and maybe even try a few pieces of penny candy. Tuesday the 15th at 3:00PM, we will have a stop from Willie Ray’s Q-Shack. Come and get some BBQ, families and friends are welcome to join! We will also have some lawn games for the residents & tenants to join in on. Marci’s Memorables will be here as Judy Garland, come check out the reenactment! We are having a wine and cheese pairing, please let me know what your favorites are, and we’ll share with the group. It feels so good to have our happy hours with live entertainment! This month we have entertainment every Friday at 3:00PM in the piano lounge.
This month’s happy hour lineup includes:
June 4th Scott Engledow
June 11th Stephen Schmidt
June 18th Dave Wirtz
June 25th Accordion Club
Unfortunately, at this time families and friends are not allowed to join in activities, dining or in common areas due to current policies in place. We ask that all visits take place in rooms or other designated areas. This just gives us a little something else to look forward to 😊. Hip, hip, hooray for the hot summer days ahead!
