Meet our new Assisted Living Nurse, Mary Ingalls, RN!
Mary is from Moville, IA, 13 miles East of Sioux City, IA. Mary started as a Certified Medical Assistant and worked directly with a Physician for eleven years. Mary learned a lot while working with this Physician, and it was his idea for her to go to Nursing school. He said, “you’re doing the work, why not get the pay” and so then she went to Western Iowa Tech Community College where she got her LPN and RN there. Right after graduating she worked as a Floor Nurse at a Nursing Home in Western Iowa, then became their Director of Nursing. Mary then got an itch to travel, so she then decided to become a Travel Nurse, working for Tri-state Nursing, which allowed her to travel to new areas and train Nurses in Director roles. Before her new role at The Gardens Assisted Living, she was working for Unity Point Hospice. As you can tell, Mary comes with wealth of knowledge in the field of Nursing, she shows kindness and compassion when working and interacting with her patients and Tenant’s. In her free time, Mary enjoys riding her motorcycle, quilting and playing with her Tuck Man- a Miniature Schnauzer. Please swing by the Assisted Living Office to meet Mary.
