Mary Lockridge
Mary Lockridge spends most of her days sprinkling her sass and spice around Memory Care, but she sure is sweet, too! Whenever we need help, she is the first to offer a hand, a result of her 40+ years as a waitress at The Ronneburg Restaurant in Amana, Iowa. She absolutely loves people and is incredibly caring, skills that thrived while meeting the whole town in what she described as a “German dancer” uniform. Mary isn’t used to spending too much time off her feet, having walked six miles every morning with her good friend, Joyce, before they went to solve the problems of the food industry world together. But she does enjoy her independence as a voracious reader, preferring romances and thrillers that “end joyously.” When she steps away from her fantasies, her biggest wish is for there to be no more war — but prepare for a battle if you challenge her to a game of Bridge!
