Where did the month of March go? We are looking forward to sunshine and warmer days ahead! This month, in celebration of Easter we will be decorating festive cookies and colorful eggs. We will play a scrambled eggs word game with all things Easter. We’ll have some fun, with bunny funny jokes too, Q: How can you tell which rabbits are the oldest in a group? A: Just look for the gray hares. We will watch The Life & Times of Harvey Firestone and go on a virtual field trip to the Amazon Rain Forest. We always have fun playing our game shows like Price is Right, Jeopardy, and this month Family Feud with an Earth Day edition. In celebration of Earth day, we will make some seed starters in peat pots to plant in our planter boxes, remember going to the zoo, and an activity all about birds. We will watch some live hummingbird cams to see how the newly hatched babies are doing.
We are excited to announce that we are now able to have Clergy to come do church services in our building. Pastor Jerry with Home Free Ministries will be in the building on Tuesday afternoons. Father Tim from St. Ludmila’s will hold a Catholic Communion the second Tuesday of the month and alternate between wings. Sister Mary-Fran will also be able to come in on the first Monday of the month to do room to room communion for all who would like to participate. We are excited to start our in-person church services, and greatly appreciate Pastor Jerry for making us our videos to stay connected and always being there for us during the trying times of COVID.
It’s Occupational Therapy month! You guys are vitally important to the wellbeing of our residents! Thank you for helping residents participate in the important everyday activities. We celebrate Administrative Professionals on April 21st. Thank you, Jenna, for leading us in the right direction and always being there when we need you. Laundry & Linen week is April 25th-30th. Don’t forget to thank the Laundry and Linen staff when you see them for doing the dirty work and always having our fresh laundry done when we need it!
We have a lot to celebrate the month of April!
