A Note from the Desk of the Executive Director

The Pandemic Can Affect Anything and Everything

The toll the pandemic has taken on our residents and families is more than most can even put into words.  It is something we talk about and work on supporting and making better every single day.  Although we, (all healthcare workers), are trained to understand the stresses and taught to roll with the punches and just keep on swimming; we often forget it takes a toll on us as well.  At The Gardens we have tried to add supports, both formal and informal, to help our teammates keep their heads above water and continue to enjoy the important work we do every day.  At times the stresses can be too much, at times in spite of all our efforts we may fall short of supporting one another, and at times a change is what is needed to help get us through.  We have seen some teammates move-on during this difficult time and we will probably see more as we continue to navigate these new waters.  However, we will continue to do everything we can to support one another and to assure we are best equipped to serve our residents and families.  With that I would like to add a small tribute to Amy and all she brought to life at The Gardens.  Amy is an asset to our team and will be gravely missed.  I cannot find words to truly express my gratitude for her commitment, friendship, and leadership during her time with us.  Thank You.

Warm Regards,

Jenna Gardner, Executive Director
